Like you said, it obviously isn't stopping those who really want to do what they want to do... even if it meant facing the possibility of the death penalty. George W. Bush, as a governor, has indirectly executed more people during his term in TX than all other governors of all times combined. And he fooled over 1/2 of the Americans as a born-again Christian... What a joke.<BR/><BR/>Criminals are the responsibilities of the society. It is within the confines of a society that criminals are born and manifested; thus they should be the responsibility of the society to re-educate, reform and do something about those criminals. For a country that champions human rights to have legalized death penalty is somewhat disappointing to see (and Americans complain how "cruel" it is to cane criminals who committed vandalism in Singapore while the American government kills people in the name of justice?).... <BR/><BR/>Anyway, death penalty is wrong. While America puts "GOD" in almost everything it does (on money, in swearing into court, in the Pledge of Allegiance and other things), maybe it should look harder on what Jesus says about killing people in the Bible?
